Finding a TV satellite in azimuth can be challenging, but this app simplifies the process without the need for a compass. By inputting two GPS locations - one from the satellite dish and one from the target - you can accurately locate the satellite. The accuracy of the GPS locations, whether from the phone or Google Earth/Maps, and the steadiness of your aim are crucial factors in finding the satellite.

It's important to note that when you are near walls, roofs, sheds, trees, houses, flats, or metal objects, the phone's GPS location may be incorrect, leading to an inaccurate satellite position. It's best to ensure that your satellite dish and target are placed in an open space.

So how does it work? The app operates in three simple steps:

1. Select the desired TV satellite
2. Input the GPS locations of the satellite dish and target. The target could be a house, tree, or plant. You can either enable GPS on your phone or use Google Earth/Maps to determine the GPS locations.
3. Adjust the dish elevation and skew according to the calculated values in screen 3. Make sure that the satellite pole is upright. Then, holding the phone steady above the satellite dish, align the central arrow named "target" with the target itself. Align the satellite arm with the arrow named "satellite". The accuracy of your phone's GPS and your steady hands will determine whether you successfully locate the satellite. Remember to keep the phone aimed steadily at the target.

To help assess the stability and quality of data values, they are color-coded as follows: RED indicates poor or unstable values, YELLOW indicates better but still not good accuracy, GREEN signifies good or stable accuracy, and CYAN means unknown accuracy. Keep in mind that to receive reliable GPS signals, you should be in an open area, as buildings and trees can obstruct signals and result in GPS location errors.

If you encounter any issues with the app, such as crashes, it is recommended to close running apps like Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Badoo, etc. Additionally, freeing up memory on your phone by deleting unused apps, photos, and music may help resolve performance problems.

The satellite positions provided by the app are derived from Agi's database. While some positions may appear slightly inaccurate (for example, Hispasat 30°w listed at 29.96°w), they are actually very precise.
